The Role of a Rose

Digging through a folder with old art I made when I was younger, I found a poem. This was made in 1991 and I even drew a pretty picture on it. So I guess the KHRpack poem wasn't my very first.

                                                            The Role of a Rose

You don't have to send me expensive flowers.

You don't have to say any inspiring words.

Words that mean more than the precious hours of time,
that slip away timelessly towards another world.

It seems to me in my trembling soul,
when you look me in the eye,
                                 I feel a cry.

A cry that plays an important role,
like the role of a single red rose.

The cry of a precarious crime,
                                 of a stolen heart.

But only in a matter of time.

Health rant

To all those people who complain about obesity, time to scream out my frustration!!!

There are impoverished people whose kids are considered obese because the parents just really don't know WHAT to make, or have no time and energy. So they get easy premade stuff which isn't healthy. I know, because that is what I do and it is the norm for others in my class of people.

All you people who don't live check to check, and all you people who don't have to guess which bill to short so the mouths in the house can be fed, are the ones out there bellyaching about bad health in this country and blaming the parents. STOP judging without knowing all the facts. Many people don’t have college careers available. Many people have learning problems. Many have had some event or other strike, keeping them from higher goals. We are willing to learn. So instead of derision, think of teaching.

People (the ones who can cook and love it even) swear it's cheaper and healthier to make things yourself then buy prepackaged processed foods. Great, so show me how!!! (Without a million and fifty steps per meal) and without charging us for this help. We obviously don’t have the money. That is the point of our buying cheap foods.

I have always wanted a site that would cater to helping people who just can't seem to learn cooking (I would be happier cleaning out the litter box with my bare hands...I hate cooking that much).

Fast, easy, UNCOMLICATED full healthy meals on a crazy teeny tiny budget. (Meaning I can't afford to pay any site for their services)

I have, what I believe, is a great idea for a site to help with this because I know I just can't possibly be the only person on our planet of over 7 BILLION people who need this kind of help. Are you interested? Do you need help or want to help?

If a site could be created and placed out there to target these people who CAN'T afford to pay for ANYTHING else, I believe THAT is how you would help reduce the obesity problem in our country.

KHRPack

                                                             KHR Pack

Thick claws dig deep as the thunder of his heavy paws thrum across the broken ground, stirring the air.

The earthy scent wafts around him.

Sounds of deep chuffs puff from his powerful maw into the frozen night.

His lips curled to display his long distinct canines.

Tightly honed muscles bulge and flex beneath the dense blond fur covering his large body.

Silver-blue moonlight dance over his rapidly moving form.

His constitution bleeds ardent purpose tenaciously through his veins.

His call, uncontainable.

He is the Alpha of the pack, of our pack.

The mournful howl he sings, directed towards the night’s sun, is our beacon.

Raising our voices ensuing, we echo through the air our loyalties.

Together we are strong.

Happy WolfWednesday Alpha.

Happy WolfWednesday packmates.

Alphy's Challenge

Alphy's Challenge is book 1 in the Kaska pack series.

I have received some reviews. http://www.nightowlreviews.com/v5/Reviews/Terri-reviews-Alphys-Challenge-by-Tigertalez is my favorite so far.

Fate has given Kodiak bear shifter Ralph Kaska (commonly called Alphy) a one-two punch. A Navy Seal on a mission when half his team is wiped out. While recovering less than a week later, he gets word his parents were killed and he is needed, to take custody of his younger sister and brother. To add insult to injury; no alpha wants a shifter as powerful as him, in their territory and isn’t allowed to stay longer then forty-eight hours.

Alphy makes arrangements to stay across the border in Canada with their last known relative; a great-aunt whom he has never met or technically spoken to. When he arrives, for the first time in his life, his bear settles. He feels at home in the Canadian woodlands. His great-aunt is the last of a once thriving sleuth. She offers for them to stay permanently and proclaims him alpha. Alphy feels like things starting to come together. But before he can put any future plans in motion, he comes across his mate and discovers a whole new challenge.

Gale and her younger brother, Paul, are human, but after her father died, her mother married a man who opened her and her brothers eyes to the life of shifters and mates. She has come to learn many things in the shifter world, like who’s an alpha, and how it is nearly unthinkable to disobey him. However, when the alpha of their herd finds out her younger brother is gay, he orders the family to send him away. She couldn’t have imagined her stepdad would disobey but her stepdad begins to pack the entire family up and make arrangements to escape the territory. Just as they were ready to go, the enforcers took her brother out into the woods and tried beating him to death, until her stepdad came to his rescue. Weeks later, they were still on the run when Gale meets a man who claims she is his mate.

Excerpt:

“Miss, I’m not going to hurt you. Is everything ok?”

His voice strummed happy tingles in her belly, and goosebumps actually broke out on her arms. She looked at his face, trying to judge his sincerity. But with his voice and those eyes, she was a goner. She sat there frozen, struck stupid by all his glory. Then he smiled, and she discovered her butterflies had rocket launchers. Her breath caught in her throat, and sweat started to bead across her upper lip and forehead. Oh no, she was sweating. The hottest man on record and she was staring at him like some wide-eyed loon and sweating!

“Can I open the door?” he asked her. She loved hearing that voice. What else could she do to keep him talking?

I bet I could orgasm by just listening to his voice. She didn’t realize she was nodding until he stood up and flipped up the door latch to pop it open. Her mind went blank as she found herself staring right at his lower stomach and crotch. Holy huckleberries, that’s an impressive bulge.

Cooler air lightly suctioned past her as he opened the door. He squatted down again, placing his large hands on his bulky upper thighs. I didn’t know they came in those sizes. Yes, she had truly lost it. This had to be some sort of hallucination caused from her little breakdown.

“I’m Ralph, but everyone calls me Alphy.”

Oh boy, she thought, he sounds even better without the window hampering his voice. Bad window, bad. Her brain, seemingly out of nowhere, clicked back on just enough to respond. “Gale,” she breathed out. She felt the hit to the stomach from those rocket-launcher butterflies again when he gave her a wide, bright smile. His teeth were straight and white. How do people actually get to look this perfect?

“It’s nice to meet you. Now, can you tell me what’s gotten you so upset so I can fix it or kick its ass?”

Her nerves got the better of her because she started to laugh almost hysterically, and then she started to cry. She saw his face fill with alarm.

“I’m so sorry,” she sobbed.

He leaned over and pulled her into an awkward hug. It helped though, because as soon as his arms reached around her and held her, she suddenly felt all right. She inhaled, filling her lungs with his rich spicy scent. He smelled so good that she had to internally argue with herself to exhale, giving up the erotic fragrance.

She felt the loss when he leaned back on his heels but for only a brief moment until the abrasive skin from his palms lightly grazed her dampened cheeks as he cupped her face with his giant hands. His thumb skimmed over her cheek, and she automatically leaned into the pleasant feeling. She cleared her throat and snapped out of her happy place. “Uh,” her cheeks pinked, “my tire went flat.”

“I can fix that for you, but that can’t be the full reason why you were crying. I can see you’ve been upset.” He had gentled his voice to near whispering. It soothed her, and she began to calm. Gale took a moment to remember what it was she needed, other than to be licked like a lollipop by the muscular Adonis in front of her.

She held her breath for a few moments, then shook her head, “If you could change my tire, that would be great. I have a spare.”

He tilted his head and rested his arms on his legs. “Let’s take a look to see what has to be done then go from there.” He stood up and held his hands out for hers. She threw one leg out onto the ground and grabbed his hands, eagerly taking them, and tried to leap up but was promptly stopped and pulled back by her seatbelt.

Damn it! She covered her face in embarrassment. She peeked through her fingers at hearing a rich sexy laugh. The Adonis in front of her was laughing. He squatted down and reached a colossal arm around her and pushed the button on her seat belt, releasing her. Then he grabbed her hands and gently pulled her out of the car.

All she could do was to mutely stare up at him as he held her hands against his firm warm chest. His thumbs rubbed over her fingers causing more tingles. And someone really needs to de-arm those damn butterflies.

She managed to detach her tongue from the roof of her mouth. “Thank you.”

“You’re more than welcome.” His voice had lowered, rippling through to her core, provoking a shiver that galloped down her spine. Keeping hold of her left hand, he led her around the front of the car to the passenger side. His eyes roved over the tires as they drew around to the passenger rear flat tire. Letting go of her hand, he knelt down and inspected the tire, then stood up and walk back to the front passenger and made his way around, inspecting all four tires.

His face was tight in concentration as he walked back around to her. “I can put your spare on, but all your tires need to be replaced. They aren’t safe for you to drive on, and I’m surprised the others aren’t flat as well.”

Heat crept up Gale’s neck and spread into her cheeks. She looked down at the ground and fidgeted. She felt Alphy’s body-heat as he drew nearer and placed his hands on her shoulders rubbing her jaw-line with his thumbs. The act drew her sight back up, and she couldn’t stop herself from looking up into his face and falling into the soft brown depths of his eyes.

“Do you need help paying for them?”
The burn in her cheeks increased as she struggled with what to say. Of course she couldn’t pay, or she wouldn’t have gone this long without changing them.

Introduction to me and my blogs

My first ever blog

So I'm a bit slow on the times. As helpful as technology is, I still can't seem to get the hang of it. I truly hope you can forgive and understand that as you journey through my attempts.

With encouragement from an author I adore and follow, I finished a book I started (And doubled it's size) years ago while I was going through cancer treatments. (I'm still waiting to hear back on it.)

I started a new book series, sent in the first book to a different publisher and September 19th 2014, I signed my first contract.

While waiting the 3 weeks it took to hear back, I completed the second book in that series and I am now deep into the third book in that series.

I will give you Warning; my books contain strong language and fully descriptive love scenes. In my blogs, there will be times I will be using that same language, and I may link pictures that you may find too vulgar, so if these things would bother youYOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
